American Pale Ale |
| The specialty beer that will replace the Penance Porter will be the new American Pale Ale. An American Pale Ale is a modified version of the English Pale Ale. The main brewing difference is we use American grown grains and more notably American grown Hops. And what could be more American than; brewed in Pennsylvania by American Brewers.
When designing this beer we wanted to embody the term "pale" in Pale Ale. At first glance you will notice a pale straw color. I have noticed that many beer drinker unfavorably prejudge lighter colored beers. Please, all I ask is that you give this beer a chance. I don't think that you will be disappointed. The color resembles that of the Celestial Gold lager, but the character is all Ale. You will notice the fresh dry hop aroma from 6 pounds of US Liberty hops. There is also a fresh and fruit-like aroma from the ale yeast used to ferment this beer. The body is light to medium with a delicate balancing act lent by the caramel malts. The bold hop flavor and finish are sure to please. And remember, we fear no beer.
